APCOA Germany will take over the management of parking areas at Domäne Monrepos in Ludwigsburg, effective from 1st August 2026. This measure is being implemented on behalf of the Hofkammer des Hauses Württemberg and includes the introduction of a digital parking system based on automatic number plate recognition (ANPR). The aim of this system integration is to control parking traffic more efficiently, relieve the existing infrastructure, and ensure the long-term accessibility of the Domäne.
The implemented parking concept allows for barrier-free parking through the automatic detection of number plates upon entry and exit. Payment processing will be exclusively digital and cashless. Parking fees are staggered, with a maximum daily rate of five euros. Reduced or free parking options are provided for users of the facilities located in the core domain, such as the Herzog von Württemberg winery, the golf course, the catering establishments, and the hotel.
The introduction of this new system will help to better manage visitor flows, keep emergency routes clear on the premises, and utilise existing parking spaces more efficiently. The operational implementation of parking management will be carried out by Park & Control, an APCOA subsidiary specialising in digital parking solutions. This concept also supports the long-term preservation of the area's infrastructure.
Domäne Monrepos spans an area of approximately 120 hectares and is one of the significant historical park and cultural landscapes of Baden-Württemberg. The listed ensemble, with its palace, winery, golf course, catering, and hotel, also represents an important local recreation destination in the Stuttgart metropolitan area. Six public charging points for electric vehicles are already available on site. The new parking concept integrates this existing charging infrastructure, thereby strengthening sustainable mobility options at the location.
