DC Waterline in Vienna-Donaustadt is seeing an expansion of its food hall offerings. Two established concepts, tulsi HIDDEN INDIAN KITCHEN and MuSe – Multisensory Creative Space, will in future complement the existing range in the district on the New Danube. This development contributes to establishing D-City as an interactive meeting point for people who work, study, live, or spend their leisure time there.

DC Waterline, jointly developed by S+B Gruppe and STRABAG Real Estate, integrates various usage areas in one location. The district includes the DC Education Campus with a school campus for 700 pupils, the DC Musicflats with 63 apartments for musicians, the DC Innovation Campus with a Motel One hotel, as well as office and event spaces. With a total area of 14,000 m², the concept surpasses traditional office or residential usage.

New Additions and Existing Diversity

The existing food hall, which already offers a multicultural selection including Abacco’s Steakhouse, Zushi Market, Paco Ribera, and Meat Point Burger-Lokal, will be complemented by two additional tenants. tulsi HIDDEN INDIAN KITCHEN, a well-known Viennese restaurateur, is establishing itself with its concept of traditional Indian cuisine and contemporary interpretations. The company, led by Neeraj Behl and Rihtik Behl, will open its second Vienna location at DC Waterline from October, in addition to its existing operation in the 9th district.

Furthermore, MuSe – Multisensory Creative Space will open as “MuSe Kindercafé & Indoorspielplatz” (MuSe Children’s Café & Indoor Playground) at DC Waterline. This second MuSe location in Vienna, also commencing operations in autumn 2026, will offer an indoor play area, creative activities, children's birthday parties, and courses. The offerings are aimed at children aged 0 to 10 years, while simultaneously creating spaces for parents and accompanying persons, thereby strengthening the family-friendly focus of the district.

Wolfdieter Jarisch, CEO of S+B Gruppe, stated that DC Waterline is designed as a place where different aspects of daily life naturally converge. He emphasised that tulsi and MuSe fit this concept as partners, as they provide high-quality gastronomy on one hand, and an attractive offering for children and families on the other, offering additional reasons to visit DC Waterline. Erol Milo, Head of Commercial Real Estate Austria at STRABAG Real Estate, explained that the new district, with its expanded gastronomic offerings, now represents an attractive destination for Viennese residents and visitors outside of traditional working hours.

Location and Concept Integration

The unique location on the New Danube is an integral part of the overall concept. DC Waterline connects the urban infrastructure of Donau City with significant recreational value due to its proximity to Donauinsel, Donaupark, CopaBeach, and Pier 22. The integration of tulsi HIDDEN INDIAN KITCHEN and MuSe further strengthens this connection between urban life and leisure activities. The offerings thus range from business lunches to restaurant visits and shared afternoons with children, appealing to diverse target groups and generations. The food hall is thereby evolving from a mere gastronomic area into a central meeting point within the district.
