Alexander twins, Ohad Fisherman face joint trial in May on state rape charges

Oren and Alon Alexander may face joint trial on state rape charges in May, alongside family friend Ohad Fisherman.

A
joint trial for Oren and Alon Alexander, along with family friend Ohad Fisherman, on state rape charges could begin as early as May. The brothers, former top real estate brokers, face separate allegations of sexual assault and battery. Fisherman is accused of helping the twins rape a woman in 2016.

Miami-Dade Circuit Court Judge Lody Jean heard motions from the defendants' attorneys regarding the December charges brought by the Miami-Dade State Attorney's office. The state charges are distinct from the federal sex trafficking case, which includes all three brothers and has a January 2026 trial date.

Prosecutors have spoken to around 60 victims and plan to file a superseding indictment. If convicted, the brothers face potential prison sentences of 15 years to life. They have pleaded not guilty and denied all allegations.

Judge Jean granted some motions, ordering state prosecutors to request federal authorities turn over arrest warrants, affidavits, and seized items from the December arrests. Assistant State Attorney Natalie Snyder suggested trying the Alexanders and Fisherman together, with Oren and Alon potentially being transported back for trial later this year via a writ.

The defense attorneys accused Morgan & Morgan of coordinating with state prosecutors in preparing a civil lawsuit and asked the judge to order prosecutors to turn over statements made by an alleged victim and her associates. The judge did not grant this motion, but the defendants' attorneys will likely subpoena Morgan & Morgan.

Attorney Edward O'Donnell believes the evidence they're seeking will prove the accusers have not been truthful. The state's charges are based on accounts from three women whose identities have been withheld. The Alexanders are also at the center of 17 civil lawsuits alleging one or more of them assaulted or raped women.
