A
luxury Italian furnishings company is set to launch its second South Florida condo project, Armani/Casa Residences Pompano Beach, in the midst of a branded developments boom in the region. The twin 19-story towers at 1550 North Ocean Boulevard will feature 28 condos and are being developed by a team led by Vertical Developments, WellDuo, GCF Development, and SP Developments.
The project marks the second foray into South Florida's condo market for Armani/Casa, following its debut in Sunny Isles Beach. The trend of branded condos has taken off in South Florida, with hospitality, automotive, lifestyle, and clothing companies partnering with residential developers. Many new condo sales launches are now for branded projects.
Sales will be led by Fortune Development Sales, with reservations starting this fall. Prices will begin at around $5 million per unit. Amenities will include a pool deck, lap pool, outdoor kitchen, fitness center, spa, meditation garden, media room, and business lounge. The design team includes G3 Architecture and West 8.
The development site is owned by Duet Property Development LLC, managed by an entity led by Peter Jago of GCF Development and Tomas Sinisterra of SP Developments. Coral Gables-based Vertical, along with Hollywood's GCF Development and Miami's WellDuo, are also working on a yacht-branded condo project in Fort Lauderdale.
Pompano Beach is seeing a surge in condo developments, including Salato Residences, Related Group and BH Group's planned 24-story condo-hotel, and Fortune International Group and Oak Capital's Ritz-Carlton Residences. In April, Canadian developers paid $9.5 million for a second Pompano Beach development site with plans for a 21-story, 240-unit tower.
