ilshire Skyline plans to build a 52-unit apartment complex on the border of Beverly Hills and Los Angeles' Beverly Grove. The eight-story building, proposed for 412 North Oakhurst Drive, would replace a three-story, 15-unit apartment building. The new development would feature 66 parking spaces and 12 apartments in Beverly Hills, with 40 located in Los Angeles.
To build the complex, Wilshire Skyline will use density bonus incentives under Assembly Bill 1287 to increase the building's size beyond zoning limits in exchange for affordable housing. In Beverly Hills, three units would be set aside as affordable for very low-income households. The project's status and affordable housing plans in Los Angeles are unclear.
Designed by SPF:architects, the complex will include a courtyard, rooftop deck, and a striking zig-zag screen on its Oakhurst-facing windows. Wilshire Skyline also plans to build a larger mixed-use building with 56 apartments at 9229 Wilshire Boulevard. The developer owns properties in several high-end neighborhoods, including Malibu, Santa Monica, and West Hollywood.
