41-year-old man, Homayoun Ranjijfroody, was arrested in his West Boca Raton home for allegedly slapping a woman during an argument over loud music. According to police reports, the incident occurred on Thursday afternoon when the victim asked Ranjijfroody to lower the volume, but he refused. Witnesses claim that Ranjijfroody then slapped the woman with an open hand on her head.
Ranjijfroody, a licensed real estate agent, was taken into custody around 3:45 p.m. and booked into Palm Beach County Jail on a charge of battery. He was released on his own recognizance the following day after being held for approximately 20 hours. A court date is pending.
As a licensed Realtor, Ranjijfroody is expected to adhere to a code of ethics and conduct obligations that govern real estate professionals in Florida.
