Brooklyn Luxury Contracts Led by Townhouse Sales Old and New

Top Brooklyn Contract: $8.5M for 30-Foot-Wide Townhouse in Park Slope

L
ast week was a good time to be a Brooklyn townhouse, with the top contract going to a 30-foot-wide property at 17 Montgomery Place in Park Slope. The eight-bedroom, four-bathroom home sold for an undisclosed price after being listed at $9.8 million in March. Originally built in 1887 by C.P.H Gilbert, the townhouse features original details like pocket doors and parquet floors.

The sellers, art appraiser Andrea Farrington and her husband Louis Mudannayake, bought the property in 2004 for $2.5 million. They hope that the new owner will restore it to its former glory. The listing was handled by Compass' Laura Rozos.

A second high-end townhouse sale took place at 109 Willow Street in Brooklyn Heights. Unit 2 is part of a renovated building overseen by Eckstrom NYC, which has worked on several multi-family projects in Brownstone Brooklyn. The reimagined 25-foot-wide townhouse features original details like its red brick facade and marble stoop.

There were 22 contracts signed last week, with a total deal volume of $74 million. The median asking price was $2.8 million, and the average days on market was 120.
