Brooklyn Nonprofit Receives $10K Grant from Local Real Estate Company

TerraCRG's $10,000 donation supports Brooklyn Org's affordable housing and economic development initiatives.

T
erraCRG, a commercial real estate brokerage with deep roots in Brooklyn, has donated $10,000 to the borough's nonprofit leader, Brooklyn Org. The funds were raised at TerraCRG's annual Only Brooklyn conference on May 29 at BRIC Arts Media in Downtown Brooklyn, and represent 100% of the event's net proceeds.

The donation will support Brooklyn Org's mission to create economic opportunities for all, through initiatives like affordable housing, job creation, and civic engagement. The nonprofit has recently launched a microgrants program to aid small community-based organizations and is expanding its grantmaking efforts by 25% with the Brooklyn Backs Brooklyn campaign.

"We're grateful for TerraCRG's commitment to our community," said Dr. Jocelynne Rainey, president of Brooklyn Org. "Their support will help us continue making a lasting impact in Brooklyn."

TerraCRG CEO Dan Marks added, "Brooklyn Org's mission aligns with ours, and we're proud to support their efforts." Last year alone, Brooklyn Org distributed over $19.5 million to local nonprofits through grants and donor-advised funds, totaling more than $130 million since its founding in 2009.
