Closing Heights Hospital Operator Seeks Real‑Estate Bailout

udson Regional Health’s Heights University Hospital will stop functioning as an acute‑care center by Saturday morning, after its five remaining patients are discharged or transferred. The facility will then operate solely as a 24‑hour emergency department. The future use of the site remains uncertain.

    HRH has petitioned the New Jersey Department of Health to close the hospital, but officials say they are still in talks with the governor and state lawmakers to chart a viable path forward for the institution.
