Coconut Grove gets new office spaces from Acore and Trinity, while Daymond John expands in Wynwood

Acore Capital and Trinity Investments to Open Offices in Miami's Coconut Grove.

core Capital and Trinity Investments are expanding their presence in South Florida with new offices in Miami's Coconut Grove. The companies leased a combined 7,000 square feet at Comras Company's redeveloped The Canopy Offices at 2981 Grand Avenue. Acore provided a $100 million acquisition loan for the purchase of three South Beach hotels in 2019, while Trinity bought the East, Miami hotel and the Diplomat Beach Resort in Hollywood.

    Daymond John, founder of FUBU and CEO of The Shark Group, has opened an office in Wynwood's Gateway at Wynwood building. John leased 1,000 square feet for about 20 employees to work on various projects. R&B Realty, which developed the building, is facing financial difficulties after a trustee sued to foreclose on a $101 million loan.

    The Bal Harbour Shops Access Pop-Up Tour will make a stop at Related Ross' CityPlace in downtown West Palm Beach from November 15 to mid-January. The pop-up features luxury brands such as Dolce & Gabbana, Tiffany, and Balmain, as well as The Whitman restaurant.

    National Union Fire Insurance Company has renewed its lease for 13,400 square feet at the 701 Brickell Avenue tower. Nuveen Real Estate sold the building to Elliott Investment Management and Morning Calm Management for $443 million this month.

    Juvia Group will open a sushi restaurant, Sushi Garage, at the Standard Residences in Midtown Miami. The restaurant will occupy about 4,500 square feet of indoor space and 1,200 square feet of outdoor space.

    An Asian-Mediterranean fusion restaurant called Mona Lisa has opened on Washington Avenue in South Beach. Mostaza, an Argentine burger restaurant, is set to open in Wynwood next year.

    Pininfarina, an Italian design firm, has opened its U.S. headquarters in Brickell's Courvoisier Centre office complex. The company leased 5,000 square feet at the building owned by Masaveu Corporation.
