olombia again led global web searches for South Florida real estate in August 2024, according to a new report by the MIAMI Association of REALTORS. This marks the 29th consecutive month that Colombia has been among the top two countries searching Miami real estate.
Miami's appeal is multifaceted, says Gus Fonte, 2024 MIAMI Chairman of the Board. "We have price appreciation, cultural diversity, warm weather, new branded condos, tourism, fintech migration, and more."
In August 2024, about 146 countries searched MiamiRealtors.com, with the top 10 including countries from five continents: North America, South America, Europe, Asia, and Africa.

Colombia also purchased the most South Florida real estate among foreign countries in 2023, with Colombian buyers accounting for 15% of all international purchases.
Florida is the top U.S. destination for foreign buyers, with Miami-Fort Lauderdale-West Palm Beach being the hub for international home sales. The city remains a bargain for prime property compared to other global cities, according to the Knight Frank Wealth Report.
