olombia led global web searches for South Florida real estate in December 2024, according to a report by the MIAMI Association of REALTORS. This marks the 33rd consecutive month Colombia has been among the top two countries searching Miami real estate. "Miami is where the world wants to be," said Eddie Blanco, 2025 MIAMI Chairman of the Board. "It offers luxury real estate, price appreciation, opportunity, lifestyle, and diversity that global buyers are looking for."

    In December 2024, 138 countries searched MiamiRealtors.com, with the top 10 including countries from four continents: North America, South America, Europe, and Asia. The top 10 countries searching MiamiRealtors.com in December 2024 were:

    Argentina purchased the most South Florida real estate among foreign countries in 2024, according to the MIAMI Association of Realtors' 2024 Profile of International Home Buyers. Argentinian buyers accounted for 18% of all international purchases.

    Florida remains the top U.S. destination for foreign buyers, with 20% of all sales, according to NAR's 2024 Profile of International transactions in U.S. Residential Real Estate. The Miami-Fort Lauderdale-West Palm Beach area accounts for nearly half of all international home sales in Florida.

    Miami is a bargain for prime property ($1M and up) compared to other global cities, according to the 2024 Knight Frank Wealth Report. For $1M, homebuyers can purchase 60 square meters of prime property in Miami, which is almost four times more than Monaco.
