Danny Strong Buys Andy Cohen's NYC Penthouse for $10.5M

Bravo star leaves behind Horatio St. lair after years of renovation, according to property records.

D
anny Strong, an Emmy-winning playwright and actor, has just closed on a Manhattan penthouse duplex for $10.5 million with his partner Caitlin Mehner. The 3,500-square-foot West Village co-op was previously owned by Bravo bigwig Andy Cohen, who had spent over two decades assembling the property.

Cohen's stunning four-bedroom, 4.5-bath home features a sculptural walnut staircase, marble fireplaces, and a gold tiled bar, as well as eclectic color schemes and views of the Empire State Building. The residence was designed by architect Gordon Kahn with interiors by Eric Hughes.

Strong and Mehner are excited to stay in New York City, where they're raising their 9-month-old daughter Maisie. "We are staying in New York because it is the greatest city in the world," Strong said. "It's amazing here for all the reasons that everyone who lives here already knows."

The couple had previously lived in a building nearby and moved to Cohen's penthouse after realizing they needed more space for their growing family. Strong, known for his acting roles in shows like "Buffy the Vampire Slayer" and "Mad Men," is also a savvy negotiator and writer of notable projects such as the "Hunger Games" movies.

The sale reflects a deeper belief in the resilience of the West Village neighborhood and the enduring spirit of New York City. Strong's new home will provide ample inspiration for his future projects, including his upcoming Broadway show "Chess," which stars Lea Michele, Aaron Tveit, and Nicholas Christopher.
