ctress Emma Stone and her husband, comedy writer Dave McCary, are selling their $26.5 million West Austin estate after three years of renovations. The couple purchased the historic property in 2021 with plans to move their family there, but have since decided to list it instead.
The Georgian-style brick house spans 10,000 square feet and features a four-bedroom main house, a two-bedroom guesthouse, and a garage with its own screening room and entertaining space. The estate also boasts a pool, hot tub, gardens, and plenty of lawn space.
Stone and McCary spent three years renovating the 1940s-era home, including opening up the kitchen to the living room and installing extensive millwork in the screening room. They removed, cleaned, and reused all the exterior brick, giving the property a fresh new look.
The listing is represented by Eric Moreland and Diane Humphreys of Moreland Properties/Forbes Global Properties. The estate is located in the desirable Terrytown neighborhood, roughly 10 minutes from downtown Austin, making it one of the most expensive listings in the city.
Stone's production company, Fruit Tree, has been busy producing award-winning films like "Poor Things" and "A Real Pain." Moreland told the Journal that the couple's business interests have expanded since they purchased the property, and continuing to hold onto it "doesn't make sense" for them right now.
