PA Administrator Lee Zeldin outlined plans to slash 65% of the agency's spending, a move aimed at streamlining operations and focusing on core mission goals. The cuts will target employees, rent for agency buildings, and an EPA museum that was established during the Biden administration.
Zeldin took to social media to pledge his commitment to reducing spending, stating it would be necessary to "accomplish our core mission and power the great American comeback." He also signaled a shift away from what he described as "left-wing, ideological pet projects" of previous administrations. The EPA museum, which celebrates the agency's history and highlights work on climate change and environmental justice, is among those projects that will no longer receive funding under Zeldin's plan.
