Ex-Zillow Execs Debut AI Tool for Real Estate Professionals

HouseWhisper aims to free agents from administrative tasks, says CEO Luis Poggi.

H
ouseWhisper, a startup co-founded by three former Zillow Group veterans, aims to alleviate the administrative burden on real estate agents with its AI-powered assistant. CEO Luis Poggi and board member Spencer Rascoff, ex-Zillow CEO, believe that generative AI can help agents be more efficient in their work. HouseWhisper has raised over $10 million in funding and is used by over 4,000 agents nationwide.

The conversational AI acts as a 24/7 personal assistant, helping agents with tasks such as following up with clients, scheduling, and CRM updates. Agents can interact with HouseWhisper through voice calls, texts, or voice memos, which are then transcribed and used to extract useful information. This saves the agent time and helps them better connect with their clients.

HouseWhisper's subscription model offers different pricing plans for teams of various sizes. The startup is unique in its conversational approach, which allows agents to interact with AI as they would with a human assistant. Poggi believes that HouseWhisper is a "really good compliment" to Zillow's services, and the company has already gained traction among Zillow teams.

Ex-Zillow CEO Spencer Rascoff sees AI-powered assistants as essential to real estate agents, comparing them to cell phones in importance. He thinks the industry is ready for a more efficient way of working, and HouseWhisper is at the forefront of this trend. The startup plans to introduce new AI solutions across the real estate industry, including for transaction coordinators, loan officers, and brokerages.
