arket Momentum Shifts as Inventory Levels Rise
The Real Brokerage Inc. has released its February 2025 Agent Survey, revealing a subtle yet significant shift in the real estate landscape. As housing inventory increases, buyers are gaining leverage and sellers are adjusting their expectations.
"We're seeing a gradual stabilization of the market," said Tamir Poleg, Chairman and CEO of Real. "Higher inventory levels give buyers more options, but affordability remains the biggest hurdle."
Key findings from the survey include:
* The Transaction Growth Index softened to 49.1 in February, signaling a return to declining transaction volumes.
* Agent Optimism remained near historic highs at 70.4, with 48% of agents feeling more optimistic about their local market.
* Market conditions are gradually shifting toward buyer-friendly conditions, with 33% of agents describing their market as balanced and 33% identifying a buyer's market.
Sellers who price competitively or invest in upgrades to attract buyers are securing more offers and faster sales. Affordability remains the top challenge for homebuyers, but economic uncertainty is rising as a concern.
