ealtor Jorge Barrera from Premiere Plus Realty has observed a slowdown in real estate activity on Fort Myers Beach. According to his data, 201 single-family homes were listed for sale in May this year, down from the 213 seen in March and April, which was the highest number in five years. This year, only 38 single-family homes have been sold between January and May, a significant drop from the 119 sold during the same period in 2023.
In terms of vacant lots, Jorge's analysis reveals that there are currently 132 on the market as of June 2025, with just eight sales so far this year. In contrast, 66 vacant lots were sold in 2023 and 32 last year. The condo/villa/townhouse market is also experiencing a slowdown, with approximately 316 units listed for sale through May. Only 58 have been sold this year, down from the 401 sold in 2021 and the 320 sold in 2020.
Jorge's data highlights a decline in real estate activity on Fort Myers Beach compared to previous years. The sales figures for single-family homes, vacant lots, and condos/villas/townhouses all indicate a slower market.
