raham Norton's Manhattan home in the historic Sniffen Court has gone under contract after just 49 days on the market. The Irish comedian and broadcaster initially listed the property for $5.59 million in early May, with sources indicating it sold "almost immediately" for a price very close to its asking value.
The three-story carriage house boasts 15-foot ceilings, a lilac stone fireplace, and bold color splashes throughout its 2,500 square feet of living space. The property also features a 465-square-foot rooftop deck and is one of just 10 homes along the landmarked alleyway. Norton recently renovated and restored the historic property, which he had considered as a potential retirement home.
Norton purchased his pied-à-terre in Sniffen Court from supermodel Claudia Schiffer in 2002, joining other celebrities like Lenny Kravitz and Cole Porter who have also called the private alleyway home. The three-story red brick home has large windows, an impressive skylight, and a spacious living room.
Sniffen Court is a highly coveted address, with its picturesque setting and gated stone street making it feel worlds away from the hustle of Manhattan. Norton's sale follows a similar trend to other rare listings in Manhattan Mews, including one on Pomander Walk that sold within 30 days of listing.
