O’Brien explains they remain in constant contact and each knows every deal well enough to step in for the other. She handles most paperwork and administrative tasks, while Mellon manages all social‑media outreach. Their partnership also extends beyond Arizona; O’Brien is licensed in Texas and occasionally works there independently, but the pandemic taught them to conduct remote showings and photography efficiently, reducing travel.
Clients appreciate their 24/7 availability. “We literally take calls at midnight and present offers late at night,” Mellon says, underscoring the emotional nature of buying and selling. About 90 % of their business comes from referrals or repeat clients; one client is currently listing and buying for the fourth time with them.
When asked about expansion, O’Brien admits the pair’s dynamic is unique and hard to replicate. “We’re a symbiotic relationship,” she says. “Finding someone who fits would be difficult.” If they ever did add a new member, the ideal candidate would be experienced, possess strong client‑relations skills, have a solid work ethic, and learn quickly.
