Greenville firm appoints first female leader in its history

oldwell Banker Caine, a leading Upstate real estate firm, has made history with the appointment of Amanda Hamet as its first female president. Hamet joined the company in 2014 and has held various leadership roles, including broker-in-charge for Greenville and Anderson offices, vice president and sales leader, and senior vice president of sales.

    During her tenure, Coldwell Banker Caine achieved significant milestones, including $9.8 billion in total sales volume and serving over 31,800 families. As executive vice president of sales, Hamet led a high-performing team of real estate professionals. In her new role as president, she will oversee the company's 220 full-service agents, focusing on market expertise, client satisfaction, community involvement, and premium service.

    Hamet brings extensive experience to the position, having served in various capacities within the company. She is also a local business leader, having served on the Board of Directors for the Greater Greenville Association of Realtors and as chair of the South Carolina Association of Realtor Forms Committee. Hamet earned her Bachelor's degree from Virginia Tech and her MBA from Clemson University.

    The Caine Co., Coldwell Banker Caine's parent company, has formalized its three divisions under distinct leadership, with Hamet leading the residential division, Mark Ratchford heading KDS Caine, and Chris Hayes overseeing Caine Hayes Insurance. Stephen Edgerton serves as CEO for CB Caine and KDS Caine, while also holding a senior leadership role at Caine Hayes Insurance.

    Hamet expressed her excitement about taking on this new challenge, stating that it is an honor to lead such a storied brand. She looks forward to continuing the company's legacy of excellence in the Upstate real estate market as it approaches its centennial anniversary.
