anielle Lombardo, ex‑chair of Willis Towers Watson’s North America real‑estate, hospitality and leisure unit, has become Howden’s vice chair of U.S. retail operations, announced on LinkedIn. The New York‑based executive moved to Willis from Lockton last year. Since launching U.S. operations in early August, Howden has hired over 250 staff, many former Marsh employees, while also recruiting from rivals. The firm named former Aon executive Mark Peterson head of construction, infrastructure and surety. More than a dozen ex‑Marsh leaders now serve as managing directors and other senior posts. Additionally, Howden appointed Christine Palomba, ex‑Aon power‑and‑renewables practice head, as deputy head of U.S. natural resources; she reports to Stuart Adam, former Marsh‑McGriff broker.
