he median price of a single-family home in Putnam County has surpassed $600,000, marking a significant 21% increase over the past month. This surge comes as Westchester's median price now stands at $905,000, with only a modest four percent increase.
According to the Hudson Gateway Association of Realtors, Rockland saw an 11% growth in single-family home sales, while Orange County experienced a nine percent increase, reaching a median price of $475,000. Sullivan County reported a six percent hike in prices, with a median price of $345,000.
In contrast, Putnam's real estate market saw a decline in single-family home sales by 22% in September, with condo sales remaining flat. Westchester also experienced a drop in sales. Inventory levels decreased across the board in each county except Sullivan, where inventory remained steady.
