Industry updates: United merges in Virginia, eXp gains MMA champ, SERHANT expands to Arizona and Sotheby's enters the Philippines.

he brokerage business is constantly evolving, with frequent mergers and milestones. Here are some of the latest developments across the US:

    In Central Virginia, UnitedRVA Blue Realty has officially launched following the merger of United Real Estate Richmond and RiverCity Blues Realty. The combined operation will offer expertise in first-time homebuyer grants to luxury real estate. Smitty Smith, with over 30 years of experience, will lead the company as its managing broker.

    Tim Stout, a former MMA champion-turned-Realtor, has joined eXp Realty along with his 16-agent team. They closed over $70 million in sales last year and are looking to scale their business while maintaining exceptional service.

    SERHANT. is expanding into Arizona, launching a new office in Phoenix that will be led by Todd Lee. The company has already recruited top agents from the area and aims to redefine the real estate industry through innovation and technology.

    In New York, William Pitt Sotheby's International Realty has merged with Heather Croner Real Estate Sotheby's International Realty, expanding its presence in Dutchess County. Heather Croner brings over four decades of experience handling high-end sales and purchases in the area.

    Sotheby's International Realty is also opening its 18th office in Asia, located in Makati, Philippines. Weichert Real Estate Affiliates has partnered with HomeLovers, a Portuguese real estate company, to bring its brand into Portugal. Coldwell Banker Realty has welcomed Massoud Atallah as regional vice president of the Dallas/Fort Worth and Austin areas.

    Coldwell Banker Beiswanger Realty Group has formed in Jackson, Michigan, through a partnership between Coldwell Banker and BNR Realty Group. The affiliate will continue to be led by Doug Beiswanger and currently has 20 sales agents focusing on residential, commercial, and luxury real estate.

    Bartlett Realty Group's three-person team has left eXp Realty to join Coldwell Banker Realty's Allendale/Saddle River Valley office in New Jersey. They brought in $33 million in sales last year and are looking for a partnership that will help them successfully market and sell new construction projects.
