ellness influencer Bobbi Vargas, 46, has been accused of stealing over $2.3 million from high-profile real estate investors Grant and Elena Cardone, who she publicly touted as her "role models" on social media. The alleged scheme spanned three years, with Vargas using the stolen cash to fund her beauty business and splurge on luxury items.
According to a Las Vegas Metro police report, Vargas used five credit cards belonging to the Cardones to make nearly $450,000 in fraudulent Amazon purchases between 2021 and 2024. She also funded a PayPal account with nearly $2 million swiped from their credit cards. The stolen funds were laundered through a front company called Bodella LLC.
Court documents reveal that Vargas used the couple's money to make over 7,400 online purchases, including designer products worth $169,000 and payments totaling around $800,000 for her business and employees. She also hired a personal shopper, housekeeper, electrician, and contractor on her payroll. A third victim reported that Vargas allegedly stuffed fake currency into a shoebox to repay a $100,000 loan.
Police launched their investigation after American Express notified Elena Cardone about suspicious charges on her credit card. Vargas was arrested and charged with 19 felonies, including six counts of theft exceeding $100,000 and four counts of attempted money laundering. If convicted, she faces over 20 years behind bars.
