entis, a London-based commercial and residential real estate managing general agent, has expanded into Ireland to serve brokers in the underserved mid-market property sector. The company will partner with Dublin-based specialist broker The Underwriting Exchange (TUE) as its exclusive distributor in the Republic of Ireland.
Through this partnership, Irish brokers can access Ventis' capacity for mid-market real estate risk up to €40 million ($44.7 million). According to Gareth Roberts, CEO of Ventis, many Irish brokers have struggled to find insurers providing quality service. Ventis aims to fill this gap by delivering its reputation for quality service and capacity established in the UK.
The partnership with TUE will enable Ventis to access a broader range of property risks, focusing on standard risks overlooked by larger insurers. "We believe there is a marked opportunity to deliver Ventis' quality capacity and service to the Irish mid-market property sector," Roberts said.
Stephen O'Connor, chairman of Specialist Risk Europe, commented that adding Ventis to TUE's panel of underwriting partners will allow them to access the property market at a higher level. The partnership aims to provide the best service for broker partners and bolster their offering in the property sector.
Ventis Ireland will be based in Dublin, where underwriter Suchitra Ramakrishnan is located. The company plans to underwrite a broad range of SME and mid-sized property risks.
