A
popular Italian American club in Chautauqua County has changed hands. The Marco Polo Club Inc. sold its building at 1035 and 1027-1029 East Second St. in Jamestown to Lipari Holdings, LLC for $120,000 in September.
The Marco Polo Club was founded in 1938 and is known for its spaghetti dinners and community events. It aims to bring together people of all ages to share their Italian American heritage.
In a recent analysis of real estate sales in Chautauqua County from Sept. 3-6, The Post-Journal and OBSERVER found five transactions worth $250,000 or more. These included the sale of a home on Magnolia Road in Chautauqua town for $835,100 and a condominium unit at Penn Arms Condominium in Chautauqua Institution for $692,500.
During the same time period, there were 69 real estate transactions in the county, with prices ranging from $1 to over $835,000. Some of the other notable sales included a home on Lakeside Blvd. in Pomfret selling for $500,000 and a parcel of land on Bowers Road in Stockton selling for $28,500.

* Susan Childs sold 8251 Thayer Hill Road, Portland to Charles and Debra Kelley for $12,000.
* Donna Phillips sold 604 Eagle St., Dunkirk to Jacob Selig for $120,000.
* TNT Houses to Homes, LLC of Silver Creek sold 51 Castile Drive, Fredonia to Pamela McKinnon for $146,500.
* Rennae Majka, Dean Crandall, and Richard Crandall sold a parcel on Bowers Road, Stockton to Grace Hanlon for $28,500.
Other notable sales included:
* Robert and Joan Shephard selling 5822 Magnolia Road in Chautauqua town to the Robert W. Shephard 2023 Trust for $835,100.
* Edward and Melanie Voboril selling Unit F., Penn Arms Condominium in Chautauqua Institution to the Johnson Management Trust A u/a 11-14-2006 for $692,500.
* Elaine Machleder selling Lot 23 of The Pines at NorthShore in Chautauqua town to the Linda Del Marmol Revocable Trust for $364,500.
