im Carrey's Brentwood ranch house, listed for $19.8 million, took the top spot among L.A. County homes under contract last week, according to the Eklund Weekly Luxury Report Los Angeles. The property, located at 615 North Tigertail Road, helped drive an increase in overall asking dollar volume among luxury homes under contract.

    The five-bedroom, nine-bathroom home is nearly 11,000 square feet and sits on a 2-acre lot with six fireplaces, an Art Deco theater, tennis court, waterfall pool, and guest house. Built in 1951, the property was first listed for $28.9 million last February before seeing multiple price reductions.

    A dozen homes went into contract last week, totaling nearly $108 million in asking dollar volume, compared to nine contracts worth $52.4 million the previous week. Marcy Roth of Eklund Gomes forecasts that residential activity will remain flat through the holidays unless another big-ticket contract is signed.

    Among the other luxury homes under contract was a unit at the Rosewood Residences Beverly Hills, listed for $15 million by Compass' Sally Forster Jones and Christie's International Real Estate Southern California's Tomer Fridman. The nearly 4,300-square-foot condo features three bedrooms, four bathrooms, floor-to-ceiling windows, and a service elevator, as well as a 1,522-square-foot terrace with a pool, barbecue area, and lounge space.
