he Katy-Fulshear real estate market saw an increase in home sales in October 2024 compared to the same month last year. A total of 567 homes were sold in seven local ZIP codes, up from 546 in October 2023. This was a decrease from September's 596 home sales.
Four of the seven ZIP codes experienced a rise in home sales year over year, with the largest increase seen in ZIP code 77423 at 105.88%. The most active ZIP code was 77493, with 193 homes sold. Homes priced between $250,000 and $449,999 were the most frequently sold, accounting for 331 of the total sales.
The median home sales price increased in four of the seven ZIP codes, with the largest year-over-year increase seen in ZIP code 77094 at 8.12%. The highest median home sales price was in ZIP code 77441, with a median sales price of $493,000. In contrast, homes spent an average of 71 days on the market in ZIP code 77493, while they sold quickest in ZIP code 77094, averaging just 37 days.
The data suggests that the Katy-Fulshear real estate market is experiencing some fluctuations, but overall remains active with a steady demand for housing.
