inda A. Gary Real Estate is downsizing to a new location on Worth Avenue, about a block away from its longtime spot at 201 Worth Ave. Broker Linda Gary Belisle will vacate the ground-floor storefront and move her agency to Suite 318 at 125 Worth Ave., where she expects to be open for business by August 1st. Four sales associates, including her husband Michael Belisle, will make the move with her.
The agency's new location has 980 square feet, compared to its current space of 2,100 square feet. The building at 125 Worth Ave. is owned by a limited liability company controlled by billionaire Ken Griffin. A new retail tenant has already been signed for the storefront space Belisle occupied, and is expected to open by November 1st.
Belisle cited a drop-off in walk-in clients as one reason for the move, pointing to the lingering effects of the COVID-19 pandemic on brick-and-mortar businesses, including the closure of Neiman Marcus and Saks Fifth Avenue. She also noted that Worth Avenue has changed, with limited free parking and metered parking available.
The agency's longtime office was once home to a bank, but Belisle was able to secure a prized Worth Avenue address in 2012 after the Town Council flipped its position on non-retail businesses occupying ground-level spaces. Brown Harris Stevens will be the only real estate agency left with a storefront on the Avenue's street level once Linda A. Gary Real Estate vacates the building.
Belisle has had a home in Palm Beach for many years and has expressed her love for the town, citing its beauty, security, and climate as reasons why it holds a special place in her heart.
