rad Simpson, the husband of a missing Texas real estate agent, has been charged with her murder. He was already being held on $3 million bail for unrelated charges related to his wife's disappearance. The new charge adds another $2 million to his bond. Suzanne Simpson, 51, a luxury real estate agent, vanished on October 6th and her husband was arrested three days later on charges of unlawful restraint and assault.
Authorities have searched wooded areas near the couple's home in Olmos Park and a San Antonio landfill but have yet to find Suzanne's remains. Brad Simpson also faces federal charges for possessing an unregistered firearm. His business associate, James Cotter, was arrested last month for allegedly tampering with evidence on behalf of Simpson. Several family members have spoken out about the abuse they claim Suzanne suffered at her husband's hands.
Suzanne's daughter Chandler wrote on Instagram that her mother was a victim of abuse and that her father took her life in a state of rage. Brad Simpson's brother expressed concern for the couple's four children, saying it brings them peace to know authorities have gathered evidence. He added that this allows the family to begin grieving and focus on rebuilding their lives for the sake of the children and extended family.
