Luxury Downtown LA Loft with Rare Porsche Collection Lists for $20 Million

Magnus Walker's 1902 LA Loft, Once Home to Fashion Designer & Car Enthusiast, Lists for $20M.

M
agnus Walker's live-work loft, a 1902-built space in downtown Los Angeles' Arts District, is now on the market for approximately $20 million. The entrepreneur, known for his fashion label Serious Clothing and car collection, purchased the property for $920,009 nearly 24 years ago. Over time, the 11,200-square-foot second floor has been transformed into a living area, while the downstairs space housed Walker's clothing label, which was popular among celebrities like Gwen Stefani and Madonna.

The building, with its 26,000 square feet of space, has also served as a film location for various projects, including movies and music videos featuring Kevin Costner, Mary J. Blige, and The Eagles. Walker's entrepreneurial ventures have included the film location business, which he described as "pretty lucrative" for over a decade.

The Arts District, where Walker's property is located, has undergone significant transformation since his arrival, evolving from an industrial neighborhood to a popular spot with various businesses, including Hauser & Wirth and Warner Music. Walker's car collection, which began after he started racing at the Willow Springs International Raceway in Kern County, led to the documentary "Urban Outlaw" and other ventures.

If sold, Walker's property will likely prove a profitable investment, given his initial purchase price of less than $1 million. The listing is held by Tori Horowitz and Rinat Greenberg of Compass' Canyonhaus team and Geoff Anenberg of Normal Properties.
