Luxury Makeover: West Palm Beach's Iconic Pink Building and Manalapan Mansion

Real estate news with a healthy dose of sass.

W
elcome to The Dirt, where I'm Kimberly Miller, your go-to reporter for the latest real estate scoops. After a long Presidents Day weekend, high-end agents were buzzing with activity as clients shopped for multi-million-dollar homes in Palm Beach. Yes, you read that right - shopping for multi-million-dollar homes is a thing here.

Presidents Day deals included a $95 million estate next to Sylvester Stallone's former home and a $200 million lot with trees (and maybe a coyote or two). Meanwhile, other real estate news has Phillips Point in Boca Raton trading its iconic pink hue for a modern white limestone exterior. The facelift is already underway and expected to take 18 months.

In West Palm Beach, the developer of La Clara condominium is pitching a new project on North Flagler with direct waterfront access. However, neighbors are not thrilled about another tower moving in, especially one that's proposed to be 379 feet tall. This comes as La Clara owners file a lawsuit over promised luxury amenities they claim are more like Rooms To Go than Restoration Hardware.

Last but not least, a $150 million Manalapan estate is on the market with stunning views and a modern Balinese-inspired design. The 60,000-gallon pool has a waterslide and waterfall, giving off a certain... Playboy Mansion vibe (sorry, had to say it). Stay tuned for more real estate news in future issues of The Dirt!
