A
Martha's Vineyard estate where the Obama family frequently stayed is now on the market for $39 million. The property, known as Blue Heron Farm, spans 30 acres in Chilmark, Massachusetts, and features a main house with approximately 7,000 square feet of living space. A separate guesthouse with five bedrooms is also part of the estate.
The property's owners, architect Norman Foster and his family, have renovated the estate since purchasing it in 2011. The renovations include a revamped main house, a pool, and a nearby pool house. Additional amenities on the property include a basketball court, tennis court, and riding rings.
President Barack Obama and his wife Michelle rented Blue Heron Farm from its previous owners before the Fosters purchased the estate. They stayed at the property during their summer vacations in 2009, 2010, and 2011. The estate is being listed by MGS Group Real Estate's Maggie Gold Seelig and Corcoran Property Advisors' Brian Dougherty on behalf of the seller.
