CB Real Estate Partners with Sweeten Enterprise to Boost Minority- and Women-Owned Business Hiring
In a move to increase diversity in its development projects, Baltimore-based MCB Real Estate has partnered with Sweeten Enterprise. The partnership aims to enhance the hiring of Minority- and Women-owned Business Enterprises (MWBE) for MCB's nationwide commercial, residential, and mixed-use developments.
The first two projects to utilize this platform are the Harborplace area in Baltimore and Reservoir Square, a new mixed-use community on West North Avenue. Sweeten Enterprise's proprietary software connects minority-owned companies during procurement and tracks participation throughout the project lifecycle. MCB plans to incorporate more development and construction projects into the database.
Sweeten Enterprise's software enables developers to set diversity goals, track progress in real-time, identify diverse-owned businesses, and generate reports demonstrating their commitment to diversity. The automated system saves time and resources while ensuring compliance with diversity regulations and fostering inclusive communities.
