A
seismic shift is underway in the North Texas real estate landscape. Two powerhouse Realtor associations, MetroTex and Collin County Area Realtors (CCAR), have taken a crucial step towards unification. After agreeing to engage in due diligence on March 27, the next move will be to put the decision to their members for a vote. If approved, this merger would create a unified voice for real estate professionals at a time when the industry demands it.
"This is about more than just combining two organizations," MetroTex emphasized in a statement. "It's about harnessing scale and strength to amplify our collective influence." With nearly 25,000 members, MetroTex is the nation's fifth-largest local Realtor association, while CCAR boasts over 10,000 members. A unified entity would grant greater advocacy power, expanded professional development opportunities, and more robust resources for every member.
The road ahead will be carefully navigated, with updates promised to members within 30 days, as well as informational sessions to keep everyone informed. The process requires patience, but the potential rewards are substantial.
Meanwhile, Florida Realtors' tech support service, Tech Helpline, continues its expansion, adding six new associations to its roster: Connecticut Realtors, Pike's Peak and Fort Collins associations in Colorado, Anne Arundel County Association in Maryland, Westmoreland West Association in Pennsylvania, and Shasta Association in California. These organizations recognize the critical role technology plays in an agent's business today, and providing expert tech support has become a highly valued benefit.
The service is accessible via phone, email, or mobile app, ensuring that agents can get the help they need whenever it's required.
