A
Miami Beach penthouse owned by art curator Ximena Caminos has hit the market for $7.7 million. The four-bedroom, 4½-bathroom home was designed by Caminos, who is also the founder of Faena Art and the ReefLine, a proposed underwater public sculpture park off Miami Beach's shoreline.
The penthouse, located at the Caribbean on Collins Avenue, combines two separate units that were purchased for $4.25 million and renovated by Caminos with architectural consulting from Galia Solomonoff. The 3,357-square-foot residence features ocean views, chic interiors with vintage furniture and art, and hand-painted murals by Argentine artist Augusto Falopapas.
Design details include multiple balconies, 11-foot-high ceilings, and floor-to-ceiling glass doors. The penthouse also boasts a sprawling rooftop "sky bar" with a kitchen, stone bar, pergola, and lounging areas overlooking the beach and ocean. Building amenities include a beach and pool service, concierge, wine cellar, and gym.
Caminos' design style is evident throughout the home, which includes a hidden chef's kitchen designed to feel like a bar, an open living/dining area, and a main bedroom with an ensuite spa-like bath. Art and furnishings are available for purchase separately, according to listing broker Nancy Batchelor of Compass.
