I Partners, a leading alternative investment firm, has welcomed back Mike Armstrong as Managing Director of GI Real Estate, where he will spearhead the firm's technology and science real estate investments. With over 20 years of experience in real estate and infrastructure investments, Mike returns to GI after serving as Chief Strategy Officer at Stream Data Centers.
Mike's expertise spans data center acquisitions, transaction structuring, and negotiating capital structures and hyperscale leases across development portfolios. "GI Real Estate has consistently pushed the boundaries of technology-driven investments, particularly in data centers," said Mike Armstrong. "I'm excited to rejoin the GI family and contribute to its continued growth in real estate."
Mike previously worked on GI's technology and science real estate investment team, helping build a substantial portfolio of data center, life sciences, and technology properties across the US. His return has been met with enthusiasm from the over 30 professionals at GI Real Estate, who see it as a significant boost to their leadership team.
GI Partners has a long history in the data center sector, dating back to its founding in 2001 when it helped establish Digital Realty. Today, the firm owns and/or manages 87 separate data centers valued at $11 billion.
