icole Kidman's character in the upcoming erotic thriller "Babygirl" resides in a luxurious penthouse duplex at 200 Amsterdam, a building that has been featured in several high-profile productions. The residence, which also appeared in HBO's hit series "Succession," is now asking $34.99 million, down from its previous ask of $38 million.
The 6,347-square-foot penthouse boasts four bedrooms, terraces, and panoramic views of Central Park and the Hudson River. It features an open eat-in chef's kitchen with stunning views, a modern staircase, and a glass terrace that opens up to the city. The apartment is located on the 49th and 50th floors of the 52-story tower, which is the tallest in the area.
The building has been at the center of controversy due to its height, which was challenged by local activists who claimed developers used a zoning loophole to build higher than allowed. A judge initially ordered the developers to chop off 20 stories, but the ruling was later overturned by a New York State appeals court.
In addition to its luxurious amenities, including a spa with a 75-foot saltwater pool and a golf simulator, the building offers a range of perks such as a fireplace, floor-to-ceiling windows, white oak floors, and 10-foot ceilings. The listing brokers are Peter Zaitzeff, Jamie Hannon, Donna Strugatz, and Caroline Sipourene of Serhant.
The penthouse's open living room features a wet bar, while the southern wing includes a formal dining room, an eat-in chef's kitchen, and a "bonus" room that can be used as a home office or gym. The primary suite boasts a walk-in closet, a built-in bar, and a windowed ensuite spa-like bathroom.
The building's amenities also include a club floor with a private lounge and dining room, a landscaped terrace, a library, a study, private meeting rooms, music practice rooms, and a children's playroom. Common charges are $12,717 a month.
