he Eastern Connecticut Association of Realtors (ECAR) celebrated six outstanding real estate professionals at its 2025 Awards Banquet, held on June 11 at the Norwich Inn & Spa. The event featured a live performance by local artist Dan Watson and honored members for their excellence, leadership, and commitment to professionalism in the industry.
Melissa Giangrasso of Signature Properties of New England was named Broker of the Year for her exceptional leadership, mentorship, and contributions to the growth of the profession. Greg Broadbent of RE/MAX Coast and Country received the Realtor of the Year award for his integrity, community service, and sales excellence.
Kim Tondreau of CorePlus Federal Credit Union was recognized as Affiliate of the Year for her support of ECAR and collaboration with its members. Connie Howard of US Properties Real Estate Services was acknowledged as Commercial Realtor of the Year for her achievements and advocacy in the commercial real estate sector.
Paul Martinez of Comparion Insurance Agency was named Young Professional of the Year for his enthusiasm, service, and emerging leadership as an industry partner. Chris Maynard of William Raveis Real Estate received the Rising Star award for his early accomplishments, enthusiasm, and client-focused approach.
ECAR President Cathy Gonyo praised the awardees, saying their dedication and professionalism are inspiring examples of serving with integrity, knowledge, and care for clients and communities. The banquet brought together members, affiliates, and community leaders to celebrate ECAR's commitment to supporting individuals and families on their path to homeownership.
