RIX USA has appointed Dean Dulchinos as Managing Director and Head of Real Estate Credit, focusing on expanding its third-party commercial real estate (CRE) credit asset management business. With over 20 years of experience in CRE, Dulchinos will leverage the firm's real estate businesses, including Lument, to develop investment products that capitalize on market opportunities.

    Dulchinos will collaborate with Jim Flynn, CEO of Lument, to raise and deploy capital for non-agency investment products, expanding ORIX USA's offerings for existing and prospective investors. He will also work with the firm's Real Estate lines of business to expand origination, oversee third-party CRE debt portfolios, and grow the investor base and product offerings.

    The appointment aims to capitalize on market opportunities in real estate private credit driven by factors such as significant near-term CRE debt maturities and structural shifts in credit sources for transitional CRE strategies. Dulchinos brings extensive experience in building and managing global CRE platforms, including 17 years at Barings/MassMutual companies in senior leadership positions within global CRE investing.

    As Head of Real Estate Credit, Dulchinos will serve as a Portfolio Manager, developing investment products that leverage the firm's real estate businesses. He will work closely with ORIX USA's Investor Solutions team to grow the investor base and product offerings, and collaborate with Lument to expand its capital solutions for investors in multifamily, affordable housing, and seniors housing and healthcare real estate.
