ndustrious is set to open its second co-working office in Palo Alto next year, this time at 1881 Page Mill Road in Stanford Research Park. The New York-based company will occupy a 40,300-square-foot space with 459 seats, six private suites, and various amenities like desks and a gym. This move comes after Industrious' first attempt to establish a foothold in Silicon Valley two years ago ended abruptly.
"We've seen high demand from large occupiers who have touch-down spots in Palo Alto," said Peri Demestihas, head of real estate growth for North America at Industrious. A second Palo Alto location is also planned for next year, although the exact address has not been confirmed.
Industrious currently operates six co-working offices in the Bay Area and has a global presence with over 200 locations across 65 cities. The company has also acquired several national offices left behind by WeWork following its bankruptcy. Industrious has raised $522 million in capital and was recently backed by CBRE, which invested an additional $100 million to support international expansion.
