latinum Properties has appointed a new CEO, but the leadership role remains within the family. Dezireh Eyn, co-founder and former COO, will take over from her brother Khashy Eyn, who founded the company with her in 2005. Khashy will assume the position of chairman and focus on growing the commercial division.
Dezireh's experience overseeing day-to-day operations, including financing, human resources, and marketing, made her an ideal candidate for the role, according to Khashy. As COO, she worked closely with employees, agents, and clients, providing real-time insights that will inform her decision-making as CEO.
Under Dezireh's leadership, Platinum has experienced significant growth, doubling its agent count and quadrupling its staff since before the pandemic. She plans to continue growing the sales side of the business, which now accounts for up to 70% of the firm's revenue. Her other priority is preparing the company and its agents for industry changes, including the Real Estate Board of New York's recent reforms.
Dezireh joins a women-led leadership team at Platinum, alongside President Teresa Stephenson and newly appointed VP of operations Caitlin Trevino. This marks a significant shift in the traditionally male-dominated real estate industry. The firm will also begin recruiting agents this year while maintaining its family-focused culture.
