Pompano Beach Condo-Hotel Project Unveils New Landmark Brand

BH Group and Related Group partner on W Hotels Pompano Beach project, signing licensing deal with Marriott for 24-story waterfront property.

B
H Group and Related Group are teaming up to bring the W Hotels brand to Pompano Beach through their joint venture's 24-story waterfront project at 1 North Ocean Boulevard. The development partners have signed a licensing agreement with Marriott, which owns the W Hotels brand, for the 373-unit condo-hotel. Jorge Pérez and his sons lead Related Group, while Isaac and Liat Toledano helm BH Group.

The W Pompano Beach Hotel & Residences will feature studio to four-bedroom suites ranging from 580 square feet to 3,400 square feet, with three penthouses boasting private rooftops. Prices start at $775,000 for the smallest units and $3.1 million for larger ones. Fortune International Group is handling sales and marketing.

The city of Pompano Beach approved a modified site plan for the project in September. This development joins two other branded projects planned in the city: a Waldorf Astoria-branded condominium with 92 units at 1350 South Ocean Boulevard, and Armani/Casa Residences Pompano Beach, a 19-story tower with 28 boutique condominium units.

The W Pompano Beach Hotel & Residences will be managed by Marriott, adding to the growing trend of condo and condo-hotel developers securing branding deals to attract discerning buyers. As Related's Nick Pérez noted, luxury products tend to sell better in the competitive South Florida market.
