B
erkshire Hathaway HomeServices Florida Network Realty has donated $19,185 to five local charities through its luminaria initiative. The funds were raised by selling luminaria kits during the holiday season, with proceeds going to nonprofit organizations in Atlantic Beach, Ponte Vedra, and St. Augustine.

The company partnered with Pine Castle, a Jacksonville organization that empowers adults with intellectual and developmental differences, to purchase the kits. Boy Scout Troop 15 has assisted with kit sales at the Beaches branch office since the event began in 2016.

The donated funds will support various local causes, including K9s for Warriors, which provides service dogs to military veterans; the Matanzas Riverkeeper, dedicated to keeping the Guana, Tolomato, and Matanzas rivers clean and healthy; and Fish Island Community Alliance, which funds environmental education and advocacy efforts.

"We're grateful for our team's enthusiasm and the community's support in making this fundraising event a success," said Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices Florida Network Realty Founder and Chair Linda Sherrer. "We're proud to assist charitable organizations that make a positive impact in our neighborhoods."
