Fresno-based real estate team is urging families to prioritize planning ahead, rather than waiting until a crisis hits. Joanna Odabashian and her father Bryan Martin from Keller Williams Realty will host a free educational seminar on Thursday evening, known as REPlanner, to help families make informed housing decisions and preserve their assets.
"Planning for your real estate is crucial, regardless of market conditions," Odabashian said. "Without a plan, passing away can lead to lengthy, costly, and emotionally taxing probate processes that often cause family disputes." The event will focus on lifestyle-focused lending tools, particularly for retirees, including the "Lifestyle Home Loan" which allows homebuyers age 62 or older to use a reverse mortgage and down payment to purchase a new home.
Guest speaker Stan Forrest of Mutual of Omaha will join the session, bringing experience in reverse mortgage lending. Odabashian hopes attendees will leave with a deeper understanding of the Lifestyle Home Loan and guidance on how to approach a home sale strategically. The team's mission is to guide families with care, helping them move forward with confidence and peace of mind.
The next REPlanner session is scheduled for Aug. 28 and will focus on divorce and asset splitting. It will be held at Keller Williams Realty's office at 740 W. Alluvial Ave.
