Real Estate Promoter Indicted in $11 Million Investment Scam

Prosecutors allege Tyler Bossetti misled investors with false promises of high returns, using funds for personal expenses and cryptocurrency.

A
31-year-old Ohio finance influencer, Tyler Bossetti, has been charged with federal crimes for allegedly running a multi-million dollar real estate investment scam. According to court documents, Bossetti bilked investors out of over $11 million between 2019 and 2023 by promising high returns on short-term investments in real estate projects. He used social media and third-party companies to find investors, who were led to believe their money was secured by his own properties.

Prosecutors allege that Bossetti spent the investment funds on cryptocurrency and personal expenses, including luxury housing and vehicles. Instead of using business income to pay back investors, he paid them with money from newer investors. The scheme involved over $20 million in investments, but investors lost more than $11 million due to Bossetti's actions.

Bossetti is also accused of helping someone file a false tax return to conceal the scam. He has positioned himself as a financial consultant online and hosts a popular podcast called "All For Nothing." His Instagram page, which had over 1 million followers before being made private, featured clips from his podcast discussing finance and other topics.

Bossetti entered a plea in court on April 22, but the details are sealed. He is scheduled to be arraigned on July 13.
