akuten Bank has expanded the loan ceiling of its "50-Year Home Loan (Reasonable Repayment Plan)" to 200 million yen, up from 100 million yen. This move allows borrowers to extend their home loan repayment period up to 50 years. The product was launched in March 2024 to cater to changing lifestyles and diverse needs for home loans. It has been popular due to its online application process, competitive interest rates, and flat loan administration fee of 330,000 yen (tax included). With the increased upper limit, Rakuten Bank can now meet the demands of customers seeking new loans or refinancing for properties valued over 100 million yen.
