ichard Muraida has been promoted to senior vice president, director of commercial real estate banking at Rockland Trust. In this new role, he will oversee institutional non-owner-occupied investment real estate activities and continue managing the bank's low-income housing tax credit (LIHTC) business.
"Rick is a highly respected expert in affordable housing with a passion for making a meaningful difference," said Jim Rizzo, chief commercial banking officer. "In this new role, he will bring leadership, knowledge, and commitment to a broader range of commercial real estate opportunities."
Muraida joined Rockland Trust in 2013 as a commercial banker and has since played a key role in the bank's growth in the Greater Boston market. He previously served as senior vice president and regional executive for the Boston commercial banking team and LIHTC.
In addition to his new role, Muraida serves on several boards, including Metro Housing Boston, Community Economic Development Assistance Corp., Downtown Boston Alliance, Boston Municipal Research Bureau, and is a member of the board of advisors for the Boston Symphony Orchestra.
