T
he market's response to a second Trump presidency is a topic of much speculation. What will the real estate industry look like over the next four years? How will shifting government priorities impact current asset portfolios? The Cummings Institute for Real Estate at Roger Williams University addresses these questions in its annual real estate symposium, examining past challenges, current trends, and forecasting future opportunities.
The third annual Real Estate Symposium takes place on April 10, 2025, from 11:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. at District Hall Providence. The event features keynote speaker Kairos Shen, Chief of Planning for the City of Boston, who oversees planning, real estate development, and property management. His work includes transitioning the city to a modernized zoning code and creating inclusive design standards.
The symposium also includes panel discussions on the intersection between government and industry, and the future of real estate investment. Student research presentations and a poster presentation round out the event. Master of Ceremonies Dr. James Andrade, Senior Vice President at CapitaLand, will lead the proceedings.
